Axid is a Long Beach pop-punk band bringing a scrappy, self-aware energy to Southern California’s independent music scene.
The band describes its own sound as “whiny pop punk”, leaning into melodic hooks, restless guitars and the kind of humor that keeps the music from taking itself too seriously. Their social presence carries the same personality, with the band often presenting its music in a deliberately loose, irreverent way.
Axid began building its recorded catalog in 2026 with the single Only Hers, followed by I Don’t Know and the five-track Wasted EP. Songs from that release include Bum (I’m a Chud), Tired of Her, Wasted and Skip.
At the same time, Axid has been active in the Long Beach live scene, appearing on local bills and taking part in the 2026 Rocking Horse School of Arts Battle of the Bands.
Axid is still early in its run, but its first releases and growing local presence point to a band developing its identity in public — loud, melodic, irreverent and unmistakably tied to the current Long Beach punk scene.
